JAPN 400: Advanced Interpersonal Communication
Course Description:
This course aims to develop advanced proficiency in interpersonal communication through the formulation of research questions and conducting research utilizing appropriate technologies. Taught in Japanese.
Course Reflective Narrative
Japan 400 Pre-capstone course taught us the skills necessary to do extensive research in order to complete our final senior project fulfilling the MLO 4 requirements. Classes involved different methods of research and included lessons taught by our school librarian and our on campus tech specialist. These experts gave many insightful tips and showed us resources useful for our research. In this class we were able to decided and conduct research upon the topic of our choice for our final research senior dissertation project. Sharing our ideas and opinions with our fellow students helped us to compile our ideas and help each other decide on a topic that was not only interesting for ourselves but also the people who we will be presenting to. Without the help of my peers and advisers, as well as and having an extra semester to prepare for a final project done in Japanese, it would have been very tough for me to complete my Capstone presentation.
